Everything we do starts with our instructors. This training is for those who are ready to learn the work, understand it deeply, and show up with confidence. If you’re looking to grow your skills and be part of a team that truly cares about what they do, this is your next step.

Our teacher training program is an approximately 220-hour, in-house experience designed to develop confident, highly capable instructors for The Pilates District team. This program is ideal for individuals seeking a strong foundation in Pilates, along with the opportunity to grow within a supportive, growth-focused studio environment.

The training blends foundational theory, hands-on practice, self-study, observation, and supervised teaching. You’ll learn the principles Pilates was originally built on, while also understanding how the method has evolved into modern, intelligent movement.

With so much of today’s fitness space focused on quick cues and surface-level instruction, we emphasize depth, ensuring every instructor understands both the “why” and the “how” behind their teaching.

A core focus of this program is intentional programming, learning how to design effective, engaging classes that deliver real results and create a strong client experience.

What sets this training apart is the level of support and real-world application. This is a high-touch, mentorship-driven experience where you’ll work closely with the studio owner, receiving direct feedback and guidance throughout. By the end of the program, you’ll be equipped to lead classes with clarity, confidence, and strong presence.

The training is thoughtfully structured, beginning with mat-based fundamentals, moving into reformer, and then expanding to additional apparatus and class styles, including barre- and suspension-inspired formats.

Program Prerequisites:
To ensure readiness and success, participants are required to:
→ Complete a minimum of 10 classes at The Pilates District prior to the first day of in-person training
→ Maintain an active membership throughout the program to support required self-practice hours

These requirements ensure trainees are fully familiar with our teaching style, equipment, class flow, and community expectations — setting the foundation for a seamless and successful training experience.

Training Schedule:
The in-person training weekends are mandatory and take place over 5 weekends, with sessions running approximately 5 hours per day. These sessions are focused on hands-on learning, practice teaching, and real-time feedback.

All remaining program hours — including self-practice, observation, apprentice teaching, and assessments — are completed independently outside of scheduled weekends. While guidance is provided to help you pace your progress, completion ultimately depends on each participant’s consistency and commitment.

Our next teacher training begins this summer. Please reach out via email (hello@thepilatesdistrictTX.com), if you’re interested in participating!
